Loyola Medical Center giving gift of comfort in homemade blankets

MAYWOOD, Ill. (WLS) -- Loyola University Medical Center is giving the gift of comfort and warmth to patients who will not be home this holiday.

Nurses and chaplains handed out homemade blankets in a tradition that started in 2009 as a small project.

Since then, thousands of blankets have been made and donated to patients.
