GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Arizona Cardinals veteran outside linebacker John Abraham will report to training camp Thursday, according to a source.

The NFL's active sacks leader has been absent from camp for almost three weeks for an undisclosed reason. He was arrested June 29 and charged with DUI after police found Abraham passed out at the wheel of his car at an intersection in suburban Atlanta. The Cardinals have declined to say whether his absence and the arrest are related.

On Wednesday, general manager Steve Keim declined to comment about the reason for Abraham's absence.

Abraham will have 26 days to prepare for the Cardinals' season opener against San Diego on "Monday Night Football."

Arizona travels to Minnesota on Friday afternoon for its second preseason game, to be played Saturday night at TCF Bank Field in Minneapolis.
