iPhone 6 fans queue up outside Apple Store on Michigan Avenue

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Apple's iPhone 6 goes on sale Friday, but there were already people lined up outside the Apple Store on Michigan Avenue Thursday night.

Many Apple fans want to be among the first to own the new device, of which there is a limited amount.

Apple stores on Michigan Avenue and in Lincoln Park will have special hours for the release of the new iPhone. They open Friday morning at 8 a.m.
