4 injured after school bus crashes into semi in North Chicago, fire dept. says

LAKE COUNTY (WLS) -- A school bus and a semi were involved in a crash in the north suburbs.

Video captured by ABC7 Chicago shows as the yellow school bus is being towed with extensive damage.

The crash happened near IL-137 and US Route 41 in North Chicago at about 4:15 a.m., according to the North Chicago Fire Department.

Officials said the bus rear-ended the semi.

Four adults were taken to local hospitals with minor injuries. No children were on the bus.

The Waukegan Fire Department assisted in the response.
