Woman killed in 3-vehicle crash on Dan Ryan Expressway on South Side: Illinois State Police

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A deadly Dan Ryan Expressway crash impacted traffic on Chicago's South Side for hours on Sunday morning, Illinois State Police said.

The three-vehicle crash happened around 3 a.m. on Interstate 94 at 87th Street. All outbound lanes are shut down at the scene.

A 29-year-old woman died in the crash, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.

What led up to the collision was not immediately clear, but an ABC7 camera captured video of a semi at the scene.

Lanes reopened just after 9:15 a.m.
