Person found dead near CTA Blue Line Chicago station, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police activity on the city's Northwest Side interrupted CTA services on Saturday afternoon.

Chicago police later confirmed a person was found dead near the location.

Blue Line trains were running but not stopping at the Chicago station located at 800 N. Milwaukee Ave., the Chicago Transit Authority said. Train service has since been restored with some delays.

Chicago police later confirmed that a death investigation was underway in the 800 block of North Milwaukee Avenue after a male whose age was not known was found at the location. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No further information about the death was immediately available.
