President Bush does ALS Challenge

Hail to the ice buckets! The summer's biggest viral trend--raising awareness and funds for ALS charities--is going presidential.

In a video posted to Facebook Wednesday morning, former President George W Bush stays true to his unique sense of humor by joking that dumping a bucket of ice water on your head is not a very presidential thing to do. Because of this, he's going to respond to all those nominations by skipping the challenge and write a check.

His wife Laura Bush, however, has other plans for him. Though her husband is left shivering, the former first lady explains, they'll still be giving a donation: She doesn't want to get her hair wet.

He concludes by nominating another former POTUS, Bill Clinton, saying, "Yesterday was Bill's birthday and my gift to Bill is a bucket of cold water."

At least it's more exciting than a pair of socks, right? Watch the hilarity play out above or on Facebook.
