Road reopens after construction accident in Frankfort, police say

FRANKFORT, Ill. (WLS) -- Frankfort police are investigating a construction accident on Thursday.

The crash happened on the northbound lanes of LaGrange Road at Lincoln Highway.

Police said the road closed in the early hours due to a construction accident involving traffic signals.

The road reopened by 8:51 a.m.

It was not immediately clear how many people or vehicles were involved in the crash.
