A woman who lost her arm to an alligator was saved by people in a canoe.
Rachael Lilenthal, 37, was swimming at a central Florida beach this summer when she was attacked. Her shredded clothes were dangling from the gator's teeth. She said she didn't realize what was happening at first, and then she tried not to panic.
"Once I realized that my arm was in the gators mouth I said a quick prayer... It rolled me around... at that point I realized I wasn't getting out of this and needed to call for help," Lilenthal said.
Some people in a canoe came to her rescue and beat off the gator with a paddle.
