Braised Kale

October 30, 2009 16 oz Cleaned, washed and chopped kale rib removed
2C Apple Cider
3pc Bacon Smoked chopped finely
1t Chopped Garlic
1t Red Pepper flakes
Salt and pepper to taste

In a large sauce pan or pot heat cider over med heat add Kale and braise approx 30 minutes until kale is tender. Remove and drain. Add bacon cook over med heat until bacon is cooked add garlic and red pepper flakes mix 1 minute then add drained kale and mix thoroughly finish with salt and pepper to taste. Tip add 1 T of butter for creamier taste and feel. Serve hot.
