A man in his 30s was standing in his kitchen when he was shot in the chest and killed about 9:40 p.m. Thursday at a home near South Lowe Avenue and West 117th Street during a home invasion.
Carlos Morales, 32, of 11753 S. Lowe Ave., was dead at the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's office. He was shot at home.
No one is in custody.
