Two former candidates for Chicago mayor are at odds over who they think should be the alderman of the 25th Ward.

Gery Chico endorsed the incumbent, Danny Solis. Solis is in a tough fight with challenger Temoc Morfin.

Chico calls Solis an effective, powerful leader who has brought jobs and development to the ward.

"I believe he has an awful lot to give to this city, his participation in the city council, and this ward," said Solis.

Morfin has been endorsed by Miguel Del Valle who also ran against Chico for mayor. Both were defeated by Rahm Emanuel.
