Five people were honored as Everyday Heroes in a program at Macy's tonight.
The program is part of a social media campaign launched during black history month by Verizon wireless, the Chicago Urban League and the group 100 Black Men of Chicago.
The heroes are Bril Barrett, founder of Making A Difference Dancing, Educator Bonita Carr, student Tia Hawkins, cardiologist dr. Patrick Weston and boxing coach Benjiman Williams.
