City of Berwyn gives condo to disabled Army vet, family

BERWYN, Ill. (WLS) -- A disabled Army veteran and his family received a two-bedroom condo for Christmas, thanks to the city of Berwyn.

And Sgt Steven Scott Olijar won't have to pay anything for the furnished home.

The family saw their new home on Wednesday for the first time.

Donations were used for the gift. The condo is one of several the city purchased through its neighborhood stabilization program.
