Bloomindale's calls controversial ad 'error in judgement'

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Bloomingdale's is calling a controversial ad that some say encouraged date rape an "error in judgement."

The ad is part of a newly-released Christmas catalog, and reads "Spike your best friend's eggnog when they're not looking." The words are between a woman laughing and looking away as a male model looks suggestively at her back.

There was backlash on social media, with some saying the ad condones rape. Bloomingdale's apologized, calling it "inappropriate" and "in poor taste."
