CHICAGO (WLS) -- A person was struck and killed by a CTA Blue Line train near the Belmont stop.
Police said shortly before 7 a.m. Monday, a person jumped in front of a train in the 3300-block of West Belmont Avenue shortly before 7 a.m. Monday.
Blue Line service was suspended in both directions between Jefferson Park and Western for the investigation.
Trains headed to Forest Park were moving again around 8 a.m. Trains headed to O'Hare were moving again by around 8:45 a.m.
Shuttle buses were available to accommodate passengers.
