LAGRANGE PARK, Ill. (WLS) -- Christmas came early for a 5-year-old boy fighting cancer and the presents were delivered on a fire truck, instead of a sleigh.

Chris Ellis and his family were waiting at the door when the trucks pulled up in front of their LaGrange Park home.

Ellis is being treated for neuroblastoma. When the organization "Christmas Without Cancer" heard his story, everyone wanted to help. They teamed up with fire cadets from Moraine Valley Community College to deliver toys for Chris and his sister.

"This is my Christmas," said Christmas Without Cancer founder Gerri Neylon. "This is the best thing ever. We build up to this every year. The day that we make there deliveries is our Christmas."

Christmas Without Cancer also brought a wreath of gift cards for Chris's parents, Ted and Danielle.
