CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police say that eight Chicago Public School students became sick after taking a substance police suspect is LSD. Officials are awaiting test results to confirm the substance was LSD.

Police say they were called to Rickover Naval Academy on the Senn High School Campus in the 5900-block of North Glenwood Wednesday around 2 p.m. where they found a student ill from ingesting a substance he purchased from another student. The sickened student was transported to a hospital.

Seven further students reported feeling ill after taking the same substance, but none were hospitalized. Two 156-year-old students were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, police say.
