CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 29-year-old CPS employee was fatally shot over the weekend in the city's South Deering neighborhood, CPS and police said.

Luis Marin was a security guard and basketball coach at Clay Elementary, according to Chicago Public Schools.

Marin was shot several times in the head about 4:25 a.m. Sunday in the 11600-block of South Torrence. He was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:05 a.m., according to Chicago police and the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

The shooting came after a domestic dispute and home invasion that happened in the 10700-block of South Avenue N, police said.
