10 injured in CTA bus hit-and-run crash, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Chicago police say 10 people were injured when a white van crashed into a CTA bus and sent the bus into a pole Wednesday afternoon.

Police say the white van struck the bus around 5:15 p.m. in the 6900-block of South Jeffrey Avenue in Chicago's Jackson Park Highlands neighborhood. All of the injured suffered non-life threatening injuries; four were taken to Jackson Park Hospital, four were taken to South Shore Hospital and two children were taken to the University of Chicago's Comer Children's Hospital.

Police are investigating. The driver of the van did not stop.
