Man killed, others injured in Des Plaines crash between car, motorcycle, officials say

DES PLAINES, Ill. (WLS) -- A man is dead and others are injured after a crash between a car and a motorcycle in Des Plaines on Saturday night, officials said.

Des Plaines police said they were notified of a crash at about 9:44 p.m. at the intersection of Golf and Rand roads.

Part of that intersection had to be shut down while paramedics worked on the victims.

A 60-year-old man was pronounced dead, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.

Details on how many people were injured and their conditions were not immediately available.
