NFL player and father of cancer-stricken daughter Devon Still reportedly owes child support

Cincinnati Bengals tackle Devon Still found himself at the center of media spotlight as he was granted a spot on the team's roster so he could pay for his cancer-stricken daughter Leah Still's medical bills. A new report surfaced today that Still allegedly hasn't paid child support to Leah's mother in months.

According to the New York Daily News, Leah Still's mother Channing Smythe says she is in danger of becoming homeless because Still hasn't paid child support for several months.

"I don't consider him a deadbeat dad...I know he loves and cares for his daughter and he is there for her. I just need him to help me financially," Smythe told the New York Daily News.

Still and Smythe shortly after following Leah's birth in April 2010. Still is now engaged to another woman. Smythe claims that she had to go on food stamps from July to October in order to feed herself and her daughter. Currently Smythe is represented by attorney Gloria Allred, who submitted a letter to the NFL asking to investigate whether Still not paying child support violated the league's personal conduct policy.

After the report was published, Still tweeted the following quote from Oprah Winfrey.

Still says his former girlfriend's comments are "untruthful" and he's letting the dispute play out in court.

ESPN and ABC News reporter Darren Rovell published the following statement from Still on his Twitter account.

On Sunday, October 5, members of the New England Patriots cheerleading squad honored Still's daughter by wearing the Bengals' players jersey during the game.
