UIC offers Chicago Star Scholarship tuition award

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The University of Illinois at Chicago is now offering a new Chicago Star Scholarship tuition award to help put students at Chicago City Colleges on the path towards Bachelor's degrees.

The scholarship is available to City College graduates who get their Associates degree and have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher.

Students who qualify would get $5,000 over two years towards a four-year-degree at UIC.

The Star Scholar Tuition Award will be offered to 250 star scholars each year.
