House music featured at Jackson Park festival

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Thousands of people are enjoying house music Saturday at Jackson Park on Chicago's South Side.

Singer Evelyn "Champagne" King got the crowd dancing for the 25th anniversary of the annual music festival, which continues Sunday.

The house music dance genre started in Chicago in the early 1980s.

The festival is part of the "Chosen Few Picnic Weekend 2015."
