In The Ridge, MacAskill took to the dangerous Cuillin ridgeline of his native home, the Isle of Skye in Scotland, to risk certain death as he climbed over a jagged and gloomy series of mountain while aboard a mountain bike. The beautiful photography, captured by Cut Media, showcases the stunning landscape as MacAskill rides along ledges only inches wide and hops over dangerous gaps, rarely ever getting off the bike. The sheer flawless and fluidness of his bicycle-traversing is a testament to MacAskill's unique talents.

The Cuillin peaks, which are historically said to be haunted, range between 2,303 and 3,254 feet in height.

The peaks of the Black Cuillin, composed of a rough black rock, are known to be an extreme challenge to climbers. Composed of a rough black rock that provides superb grip, the basalt is also extremely slippery when wet. The Cuillin's jaggedness has been compared to those of the Alps and the Rockies.

MacAskill became internet famous 5 years ago when he released a short video, "April 2009" to YouTube. Since then, he has achieved international acclaim and attention as a professional street trials rider, typically releasing only one major video a year.
