Horse of honor statue dedicated to South Side school

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A Chicago police officer has a horse of honor statue dedicated in his name.

The horse honors the life and legacy of Officer Donald Marquez, who died in the line of duty in 2002.

The statue was dedicated and donated to the Marquez Uno Charter School in Brighton Park Tuesday afternoon.

Family, friends and colleagues of Marquez attended the ceremony, sharing memories of Marquez.
