Illinois lawmakers call on Little League to restore JRW title

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Illinois lawmakers are going to bat for the Jackie Robinson West Little League team.

In February, Little League International stripped the team of its U.S. Championship for having players outside their home boundary.

The Illinois House passed a resolution calling on the league to restore the title.

It also asked the league to investigate other teams as thoroughly as JRW.
