CHICAGO (WLS) -- At least 20 people have been shot, seven fatally, in gun violence across Chicago so far this weekend.

Twenty people were shot, seven were killed, in weekend gun violence across the city this weekend, Chicago police said.
CPD there were a total of 15 shootings across the city.

Man shot, killed while inside vehicle on SW Side, Chicago police say
A man was shot and killed while inside of a vehicle Sunday evening on the city's Southwest Side.
The shooting happened around 7:30 p.m. in the 3800 block of South California Avenue in Brighton Park, Chicago police said.
The victim, a 40-year-old man, was inside of a vehicle when an unknown offender with a firearm shot him multiple times, police said.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His name has not been released.
No further information was available as Chicago police continue to investigate.

18-year-old shot to death in Back of the Yards, Chicago police say
An 18-year-old was shot to death in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on Sunday, Chicago police said.
Chicago police said the victim was found shot at about 5:15 a.m. in the 1700-Block of West Garfield Boulevard.

The 18-year-old was found with multiple gunshot wounds to the body inside a home.
The Cook County Medical Examiner's Office identified him as Jaiker Rodriguez Vera.

30-year-old killed in West Englewood drive-by shooting identified
A 30-year-old man killed in a West Englewood drive-by shooting has been identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.
Police said a 26-year-old woman, a 30-year-old man, and a 31-year-old man were standing in the West Englewood neighborhood's 6500-block of South Hermitage Avenue just after 12:45 a.m.
That's when a white SUV pulled up, and a male suspect inside fired shots, police said.
The 30-year-old man was shot in the head, and the 31-year-old man was shot in the chest, police said.
Both were died at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
The 30-year-old man was identified as Tacari Wright by the medical examiner.
