At least 39 shot, 6 fatally, in shootings across Chicago this weekend, police say

A man was found shot to death on Chicago's South Side early Saturday, police said.

Police said a 37-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the neck in the Bronzeville neighborhood's 500-block of East 38th Street around 12:15 a.m.

The victim was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Area One detectives are investigating. Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.

Police are speaking with a person of interest in connection with a deadly West Side shooting.

Officers responded to a call about a person shot near North Latrobe Avenue and West Division Street in the city's Austin neighborhood just before 10 p.m. Friday.

There, officers found a 34-year-old man who had been shot in the chest.

The victim was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Area Four detectives are investigating. Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.

Two men were shot while walking in the Grand Crossing neighborhood on Friday night, Chicago police said.

The shooting happened in the 7200-block of South Dobson Avenue at about 9:56 p.m. police said.

The victims, aged 26 and 28, told police they were outside when they felt pain.

The 28-year-old was shot in the right arm and in the back

The 26-year-old was shot in both legs.

They were taken to University of Chicago hospital in serious condition.

CPD said a weapon was found at the scene.

A man was found shot to death on Chicago's Southwest Side on Friday evening, police said.

Police said officers responded to a call about a person shot near South Hamlin Avenue and West 30th Street in the city's Little Village neighborhood just before 9 p.m.

There, officers found an unresponsive 33-year-old man on the ground. Police said he had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the body.

The victim was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Area Four detectives are investigating.

Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.
