Thirty-nine people were shot, six fatally in weekend gun violence, according to Chicago police.

CPD said there were 24 shootings over the weekend.

32-year-old shot in Englewood Friday night, police say

A 32-year-old man was shot in Englewood in the 6700-Block of South Ada Street on Friday, Chicago police said.

Chicago police said the shooting happened at 11:11 p.m.

The man said he was outside when he head loud noises and was shot in the left leg.

He was taken to University of Chicago Hospital. Police said he was expected to be OK.

Man found shot to death in Greater Grand Crossing, police say

A man was found to death on the city's South Side on Friday night, Chicago police said.

Officers responded to a call about a person shot in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood's 100-block of West 75th Street just before 10:30 p.m.

There, officers found a 50-year-old man who had been shot in the chest.

The victim was transported to St. Bernard Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Officers recovered a weapon from the scene.

Area Two detectives are investigating. Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.

Man found shot to death in Bronzeville, police say

A man was found shot to death on Chicago's South Side early Saturday, police said.

Police said a 37-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the neck in the Bronzeville neighborhood's 500-block of East 38th Street around 12:15 a.m.

The victim was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Area One detectives are investigating. Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.

Man found shot to death in Austin; police speaking with person of interest

Police are speaking with a person of interest in connection with a deadly West Side shooting.

Officers responded to a call about a person shot near North Latrobe Avenue and West Division Street in the city's Austin neighborhood just before 10 p.m. Friday.

There, officers found a 34-year-old man who had been shot in the chest.

The victim was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Area Four detectives are investigating. Police did not immediately provide further information about the shooting.
