HOBART, Ind. (WLS) -- A northwest Indiana home care worker is charged with battery against a disabled person.

Megan Akers, 23, of Chesterton is accused of hitting a 27-year-old man with autism she was caring for in his Hobart home.

Akers works for Rescare. Last week, four other Rescare employees were charged in two other incidents.

They are accused of battery to disabled men in their care.
