11-year-old girl missing from Arlington Heights located

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (WLS) -- Sydney Ayala, the 11-year-old girl missing from northwest suburban Arlington Heights, has been found safe.

Ayala was reported missing from her home in the 100-block of North Lincoln Lane around noon on Thursday.

Police said Ayala was spotted in the 1200-block of East northwest Highway at around 8:30 a.m. Friday. She was not hurt.

Arlington Heights police said the initial investigation indicates she ran away from home. No foul play is suspected.
