CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- Classroom buildings at Harvard University were evacuated Monday afternoon due to a bomb threat, according to Harvard Alert, the university's Twitter-based security alert system.

Four Harvard University buildings were evacuated just after the university received a bomb threat for several locations across the campus, which is located in Cambridge, Mass., near Boston.

The buildings evacuated were Harvard's Science Center, Sever Hall, Emerson Hall, and Thayer Hall.

The Science Center is just outside of Harvard Yard, while the other three buildings are inside it.
