Jerome McIntosh charged in attack on 75-year-old woman in Avalon Park

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Jerome McIntosh is accused of attacking a 75-year-old woman with a knife and stealing her car in Chicago's Avalon Park neighborhood.

McIntosh, of the 8000-block of South Kenwood Avenue, was charged with aggravated battery, aggravated carjacking and armed robbery.

The 31-year-old was identified as the man who allegedly attacked the elderly woman after a domestic incident around 3 a.m. Saturday, in the same block where he lives.

Police said the victim suffered a laceration to her hand and was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where she is listed in stable condition.

McIntosh is due in bond court on Tuesday.
