It is shaping up to be another violent weekend in Chicago after two men in their 50s were killed and at least six other people were wounded in separate incidents.

Relatives said one of the men killed was hit by stray gunfire while sitting on his parents' porch in what appears to be yet another case of an innocent person getting shot for being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Police are continuing to investigate the murder, which left two other men critically injured.

"He was visiting me all day (Friday), sitting in this chair. I can see him, sitting right here," said Felix McGhee, the father of the shooting victim.

McGee's son, Andre McGhee, 51, was sitting in his chair Friday night around 8 p.m. on the 1400-block of North Kildare when witnesses say two men fleeing from gun shots ran past where McGee was sitting. All three were hit, McGee fatally.

"He had nothing to do with what was actually going on," said Colavito McGhee, the victim's cousin.

Several of the gun shots went through the front door and windows of the home. As relatives swept up the shattered glass, Felix McGhee said his son had not been healthy for several years and was unable to work. He would visit his parents nearly every day.

"He was a happy go-lucky guy. He always told me, 'Dad, I love you. I love you,'" said Felix McGhee.

The shooting was one of two fatal incidents in West Humboldt Park overnight. The second one, on the 1100-block of North Pulaski, killed a 56-year-old man walking down the street alone. Police say a gunman got out of a black SUV, fired at the man and then got back into the vehicle and drove off.

The victim in the shooting has not yet been identified and detectives are continuing to work to find a suspect in the case.
