CHICAGO (WLS) -- There's a new way for passengers to board CTA buses at Union Station.
A new transit center opened Sunday, located just south of Union Station on Jackson Boulevard between Canal and Clinton streets.
The transit center connects directly to the station underground, so riders won't have to walk outside during cold winter months.
The city is also creating separate lanes for CTA buses on Canal Street.
Six bus routes will operate out of the center: #1 Bronzeville/Union, #28 Stony Island, #121 Union/Streeterville Express, #124 Navy Pier, #151 Sheridan and #156 LaSalle.
