HEBRON, Ill. (WLS) -- There are calls for a suburban village president to step down following his arrest on cocaine and gun charges.
Hebron residents packed village hall Monday night to face John Jacobson. He was arrested last month after police say they found drugs, a shot gun and ammunition in his home.
Residents handed over a petition with more than 200 signatures to get Jacobson to resign, but he said he's not going anywhere.
"I will not answer any questions or make any further statements regarding my legal matters," Jacobson said. "I do not plan on resigning right now, if I do in the future, but I am not going to at the present time."
Residents are also asking for a full audit of the village board.
