CHICAGO (WLS) -- A September 19 trial date has been set for former Congressman Mel Reynolds.
He was scheduled to go on trial this month for not filing income taxes, but a judge granted his motion to postpone.
Reynolds is representing himself and claims his jail restrictions are keeping him from researching his case.
Reynolds also has a pending motion asking for the judge to step down from overseeing the case. A date for that hearing has not been set.
