Video shows Cook County Jail guard punching, kicking inmate

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Surveillance video shows a Cook County Jail guard punching and kicking an inmate.

It happened nearly three years ago, but a Better Government Association investigation shows that guard is still on the job.

Sheriff Tom Dart asked Cook County State's Attorney Anita Alvarez to investigate the case.

Her office investigated, but declined to press charges, saying the officer was attacked first.
