After 50 years in TV news - much of that here in Chicago - Eyewitness News anchor Ron Magers is about to retire.
During his time at the anchor desk, he's reported on some remarkable events in Chicago and Illinois history: Two governors sent to prison on corruption charges, the end of the Daley era at City Hall and the election of Barack Obama, the country's first black president.
Now, there's rising violence in the city, the Chicago Public Schools are struggling financially and the state hasn't had a budget since last summer.
Ron talks about what he's seen, and his thoughts for the future.
