Paralyzed Chicago teen's family van vandalized

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The family van of a Chicago teen who was paralyzed in a shooting has been vandalized.

Ondelee Perteet, 19, uses the van and his special motorized wheelchair to get around. On Friday, his mother found the van was been broken into.

Police say they believe someone tried to steal the van and disengaged the ignition. The family now has to get the van repaired.

Perteet has a bullet lodged in his spine. He was shot at a party back in 2009.
