1 in custody for alleged road rage stabbing in Mundelein

MUNDELEIN, Ill. (WLS) -- A man is in custody after a stabbing during an alleged road rage incident on Thursday, Mundelein police said.

Officers responded at about 7:27 p.m. to the area of Route 176 and Joice Lane and found a 57-year-old man bleed from stab wounds to the chest, police said. The victim was transported to a hospital and is expected to survive, police said.

The victim gave a partial description of the suspect and the suspect's vehicle to police, police said.

Officers identified a 59-year-old man as a suspect, who was taken into custody at a residence in Mundelein, police said.
