1 hospitalized after being pulled from Lake Michigan on North Side

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man was hospitalized in critical condition after he was rescued from Lake Michigan Wednesday morning, Chicago police said.

The incident occurred at about 12:36 a.m. in the 5800-block of North DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

Police said firefighters recovered a 39-year-old man from the lake.

He was transported to illinois Masonic Hospital, where he was listed in critical conditions, police said.

Area Three detectives are investigating. Further details were not immediately available.
