
CHICAGO (WLS) -- A child was among three people injured in a Southwest Side crash early Saturday morning, Chicago police said.
Police said the crash happened in the Ashburn neighborhood's 3500-block of West 79th Street just after 3 a.m.
A 32-year-old man was driving a grey Chrysler sedan traveling eastbound when he lost control and crashed into two light poles, police said.
A 12-year-old boy, who was a passenger in the sedan, was transported to Comer Children's Hospital in fair condition.
The driver was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition. Another passenger, a 31-year-old man, was transported to the same hospital in serious condition.
Area One detectives are investigating.
Authorities did not immediately provide further information about the crash.
