1 dead, 2 hospitalized after rollover crash near Broadview; part of I-290 shut down: police

BROADVIEW, Ill. (WLS) -- All westbound Interstate 290 lanes are shut down after a deadly rollover crash in the west suburbs on Sunday morning, Illinois State Police said.

ISP said troopers responded to the three-vehicle crash at 25th Street, near Broadview, just before 11:15 a.m.

Three people were transported to local hospitals, where one of them was pronounced dead, ISP said.

ISP said traffic is being diverted onto 17th Avenue as they investigate.

What led up to the crash was not immediately clear.

Authorities did not immediately provide further information.
