77-year-old hurt in West Side apartment fire, Chicago Fire Dept. says

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A woman was hurt in an apartment fire on Thanksgiving, according to a Chicago firefighter.

The fire happened in the 5900-block of West Augusta Boulevard; video shows smoke coming out of an apartment building.

A firefighter at the scene told ABC7 a 77-year-old woman was rushed to a hospital. Her condition was not immediately known.

The flames spread to a building next-door before the fire was put out.

By noon the fire had been struck.

No other information was released by the Chicago Fire Department.
