Man shot, killed outside CTA station in McKinley Park, police say

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A man has been charged in a deadly shooting near a CTA station on the Southwest Side, Chicago police said on Friday.

The shooting happened around 5:30 a.m. Sunday outside the CTA Orange Line 35th/Archer Station in the McKinley Park neighborhood's 3500-block of South Leavitt Street.

Police said a 26-year-old man, found with a gunshot wound to the upper body, died at the scene.

Aaron Zawadzki, a 21-year-old Chicago man, is facing first-degree murder and possession charges, police said.

Zawadzki is due in court on Saturday.
