A child was shot inside a South Side home on Sunday afternoon, Chicago police said.
Police said the shooting happened in the Gresham neighborhood's 1400-block of West 83rd Street just before 2 p.m.
A Concealed-Carry License holder fatally shot a man who was trying to break into a West Side apartment on Saturday morning, Chicago police said.
Police said a 33-year-old man tried to break into a home in the 3400-block of West Monroe Street just before 7 a.m.
On Monday, police said at least 26 people were shot, three fatally, in shootings across Chicago this weekend.
CPD said 26 people were shot in 18 different shootings.
At least 19 people have been shot, two fatally, in shootings across Chicago this weekend, police said.
This weekend's gun violence comes after at least 18 people were shot, six fatally, across the city last weekend.
