School bus driver cited after crash leads to vehicle fire in Arlington Heights, police say

ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (WLS) -- Police are investigating a school bus crash and vehicle fire Friday in Arlington Heights.

A bus collided with an SUV, which caused the SUV to catch fire, police said.

Chopper 7 was over the crash scene at Algonquin Road at Cedar Glen Drive Friday afternoon.

A school bus could be seen with damage, and an SUV was heavily burned.

The driver of the school bus was ticketed. Police say the bus driver caused the crash.

There was only one student on board the school bus at the time.

No one in any vehicle was hurt, police said.
