Arlington hosts 32nd Million Day

NEWS RELEASE -- The biggest day in Illinois racing is back on Saturday, Aug. 16!

Arlington International is gearing up to host its 32nd running of the Arlington Million. Celebrate big ways to win and the best thoroughbred horses in the country with a day filled with parties, music, food, drinks and entertainment. With special packages starting at $53, this event has something for everyone.

Opening ceremonies will include a performance by the Jesse White Tumblers and singer Johnny Vincent. Legendary singer Jim Cornelison will sing the National Anthem with colors presented by Marine Air Control Group 48.

For extra fun, guests can enjoy the racing from different ticketed venues, including the Million Party Zone, the Million VIP Lounge, the Million Room and Silks at 2200. Each venue brings its own unique flair to the event.

There will be food and beverage specials throughout the facility, an opportunity to contribute to a public mural and an Arlington Million best dressed lady competition.

Gates open at 10:30 a.m., and the first post is 12:30 p.m. General admission is $22/adults and $2/children.

The big stakes races of the day start at 3:12 and conclude with the 32nd running of the Arlington Million at 5:36 p.m.
